Today we took the third vocabulary quiz and the scores were actually pretty good on average. I was impressed by the number of people who also received the two extra credit points. On the other hand, there are some who either need to study more or need help with reading the quizes. I have not had anyone seek out my help, which disappoints me. Those of you who need help need to care enough to ask for help. Once you get out of school, you need to become an advocate for yourself. My purpose in being here is to help you. Please value yourself and your capabilities and reach for scores that are a little higher by getting the help that you need.
The paper bag project is coming along well. Almost everyone is done filling the inside of the bag with figures. Next the students have to come up with a way to compose their opened bags into a work of art. I showed some examples for inspiration today on the overhead projector. Tomorrow I will hang some printed copies so you can see the actual intensity of the colors.
color intensity - strength of hue. A pure hue (without the addition of black or any other color) is at its full intensity.
