I actually wish I had some good tales to tell about Thursday. It was a pretty quiet day, except for lunch time but that doesn't have much to do with class. I did however, find one of the remnants (a carrot) on the floor of my second drawing class. Bite sized carrots in a bag were served with hot lunch today. I love carrots. I can't even tell you how many of them I found on the floor in the cafeteria. It really bothered me. So much for serving and eating healthy lunches. Maybe next time I'll collect them before they land on the floor and we can draw or make sculptures out of them.
In class the students were finishing up the bag drawings and some were working on the organ donor posters. I showed everyone the kneaded eraser. Several of the students had used one before, but a number of them had never seen this type of eraser before.
kneaded eraser - usually made of grey or while pliable material that resembles putty or gum. It absorbs and picks up graphite and charcoal particles. It does not wear away or leave eraser residue. They are used more for creating highlights or detailing work, not for erasing large areas of a drawing.
