Grades were due Wednesday

In class Wednesday I was double checking with those who had assignments missing in the gradebook before I entered my grades for the first quarter. The students may not think of this process in this way, but honestly, this is a moment of truth for me as a teacher as well. It is a time when I grade myself too. If you aren't doing your work or are failing, I feel like I have failed. It is my job to teach you, motivate you and help you become the person you are meant to be. If I can't do that, I am not doing my job. I care deeply about doing my job to the best of my ability and I hope that you will ALL one day experience and understand the joy felt from and the value of a job well done.

atmospheric or aerial perspective - refers to the effect the atmosphere has on the appearance of an object as it is viewed from a distance. As the distance between an object and a viewer increases, the contrast between the object and its background decreases and the contrast of any markings or details within the object also decreases. The colors of the object also become less saturated and shift toward the background color. It was first used in paintings during the 15th century.
