In our new sketchbooks our first task was to draw four squares on the first page under the word of the day. Under each square, consecutively we wrote, 1. impatient 2 athletic 3 secretive and 4 addictive. Students completed four analog drawings as a warm up to today's project, which included completing a portrait in analog form. The person represented in our portrait was not revealed., but perhaps we learned a little about our relationships with those people through this drawing. We are complex human beings and our experiences with each other can be beautiful, fun, adoring, disturbing, confusing, intense, calming, etc. Often a great mixture of many emotions will be evident in our relationships. Learning to express these feelings makes our artwork reveal so much more meaning and emotion.
Analog – a person or thing seen as comparable to another.
